A note from John Hall:

Thought I would send this along to you for your readers’ information.

I am thrilled to update you on the Forty Creek Gold Rush.

On the heels of winning three gold medals at the International Review of Spirits in 2010, gold at the International Whisky Competition, Connoisseur Whisky of the Year – Multiple Markets at the Canadian Whisky Awards and Canadian Whisky of the Year from Malt Advocate 2010, Forty Creek has continued its quest for gold.

We’ve just won 3 Gold Medals at the 2011 International Review of Spirits in Chicago, for Barrel Select, Double Barrel and Confederation Oak. In addition, Top 10 New Whiskies of the Year from Malt Advocate and Double Gold Medal at the prestigious 2011 San Francisco World Spirits Competition for Forty Creek Confederation Oak. The Double Gold Medal is reserved for the whisky that received a unanimous vote for a Gold Medal by all the judges. This year there were 33 judges at the competition. This is the second time Forty Creek Whiskies have won Double Gold at this event. The 2006 Double Gold Medal was won by Forty Creek Barrel Select.

Thank you for your support.

All the best,

John
